| Mr. Nelson “FFWD” Cruz, is currently a voting member of the Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards. He's also an ASCAP and Harry Fox Agency member. A former Billboard, Cash Box Magazine, WKTU/FM - New York, WBLS/FM - New York and KISS/FM - New York club reporter. Together with two musical legends: Ms. Roberta Flack, Ms. Darlene Love (of Lethal Weapon films fame) and several other world-renowned celebrities, Mr. Cruz, judge's McDonald's GospelFest (2007/2008/2009/2010/2011). Mr. Cruz has also had several international number one Pop, Dance and R&B hit songs, which he either wrote, produced, remixed or edited, from “Let The Music Play,” by Shannon to “Strike It Up,” by Black Box and beyond. He and his music have been featured in endless major/independent/documentary films, television, radio and Internet programs. He has worked with or discovered an ongoing list of award winning recording artists, from Lisa Fischer (1991 Grammy Award Winner - Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female: “How Can I Ease The Pain”), Brenda K. Starr (of “I Still Believe,” Pop fame, who discovered Mariah Carey) to legendary Grammy Award winning: Steps Ahead (Mike Mainieri, Michael Brecker [Brecker Brothers], Warren Bernhart, Peter Erskine and Eddie Gomez), just to mention a few. Mr. Cruz discovered the Pop, Dance and Latin music Diva, Brenda K. Starr, at the age of thirteen. He helped sign Brenda K. Starr and Shannon to their first major recording deals with, Mr. Jerry Greenberg, of Mirage/Atlantic Records. He co-mixed the original classic version of Shannon’s number one international Pop, Dance and R&B smash hit song: “Let The Music Play.” India: Mr. Cruz additionally produced and remixed the international American version of the number one award winning Hindi smash hit song: “Choli Ke Peeche,” which was featured in Subbash Ghai’s Hindi film and soundtrack: “Khal Nayak (The Villain).” As an international Legend of Freestyle, Mr. Cruz, still performs his classic number one bilingual (English/Spanish) Pop/Dance smash hit song: “Baby Don’t Go/Baby No Te Vayas,” which he wrote, produced and mixed.
